ip mounted dohicky
 

hello, there is a contraption mounted to the side of ip with 3 vacuum lines going to it and has 2 10mm mounting bolts with some adjustment. 1 line goes to the lower right corner of contraption and other 2 go in the top round black part of the contraption. what is it? and what does it do i cant find any info or picture.

the car is 87 300sdl 603.961 btw. so for the link provided it is vcv for transmission shift firmnes? i tried to move it slightly and it made a grinding sound with engine running

Either the ALDA or the other Vac thing. Its common. dont worry about it until it breaks

i have now found some info on it. it is the vcv for transmission. thanks for the quick help
