No
Your inquiry should be phrased:
Front or Rear, Left or Right. A rear brake hangup can steer the car. Quick way to tell: Cheap Nitrile gloves ON Your Hands. One (at least) of those Wheels/Brakes is Nice and Toasty, whilst this is going on.

X2 with compress,
You should go right through the brakes. Always replace calipers in pairs.

Pulling on the W126 is not such a simple answer.
I've suffered all types of pulls on both the '84 and the '86. In fact, the '84 recently started a pull and it has brand new calipers and rotors on the front. Pulls can be caused by the calipers, for sure, but they can also be caused by the swaybar bushings, guide rod mount, brake hoses, and tires. Although I agree with the potential for a pull caused by the rear calipers, I'd consider this the last possibility due to the limited braking capacity of the rear calipers. It's sometimes a lengthy process to find that issue and I wish you the best of luck. I suffered with a light pull on the '84 for years and couldn't find it. The calipers appeared perfectly OK. When I finally rebuilt the front end with new calipers, it disappeared..........for about six months. Now it's back again. |
