Which gasket stuff?

i need to make a new gasket between the MC and booster on the 78 300SD.
What is the best stuff to use?

I'm pretty sure its an o-ring that seals the master to the booster. I can't seem to find it on FastLane though.

It is an o-ring and I couldn't find anything
that fit just right. I'll see if the black silicone
works.

I was in the local NAPA here last week. They had a surprising number of different sized o-rings on hand. All different sizes Metric and SAE.

I just changed my MC & there was a paper gasket in lieu of the o-ring. You can likely order the o-ring from this site. Alternatively, you could make a gasket out of regular gasket material using a ball peen hammer with the MC as a template.
