ABS light on and No elect windows working..
Getting to the point where my W123 280TE/300TD conversion is approaching completion.
The car is a late 1985, 280TE Wagon...Or at least it was... ![]() More or less everything is done but I have an elect fault/s that the car Always Had since Ive owned it, and Before I took the M110 Petrol Engine and trans out. The Elect Windows don't work, and I know that the motors on at least two doors are perfectly OK (Replaced two rusted out doors and checked/lubed window mech, ran motors from battery. The more 'complicated' fault appears to be the ABS system light is constantly on when the Ign. is on. --Ive checked the wheel-sensors on the front which are OK, havent checked the rear yet--Job for tomorrow... (With ABS fault, I'll not be able to MOT the car....) Research suggests that summit called an 'OVP Relay' is a possible candidate--What Is, and Where does this thing live? How can one confirm whether its good or bad? --Does it supply the ABS system with power? and can I test for power at ABS ECU--Wherever that is, to confirm whether OVP is OK? The car is a Right Hand Drive U.K. car --IF that makes any difference to the device location....
