Air Cleaner mounts for cheap?

Do these look like they would work?

Cheers!

They look like the rubber mount part is too thin. These brake enough as is. I don't think you'd want less rubber, and it would make it tough to get the air cleaner seated properly. Also all the details are listed in SAE, so I'd bet it wouldn't thread in properly. But for 79 cents its worth a shot, but your's still going to have shell out $7-$10 for shipping.

yep, I saw the 1/4-20 spec... one of the mounting holes on my bracket is toast anyway so I'm already using a nut and washer... Just thought it was funny to see them after replacing 2 more mounts last Sunday...

(i'm having trouble making the link go to the right page, go to #1368)

I'm 99% certain that part 9376K206 ($1.59 per) is identical to what's used for our air cleaner mounts. It's the same price for rubber or neoprene, if I needed some more i'd probably go neoprene because of better resistance to oils.

Something I've considered, but haven't gotten around to trying is using part 9376K209 ($1.69) or 9376K211 ($2.09) instead. The thread and thickness on these two parts is identical to the stock parts we use, but instead of 1" diameter they are 1.25" and 1.5", respectively. As you'd expect, they have a larger permissible load spec, so I expect that they'll probably last longer than the stock ones. Of course, the downside is that they won't fit with the stock heat shields, which might reduce their lifespan. Hard to say whether or not it's a net gain without trying it, but hey, they're cheap. I'll probably give that a shot if/when my mounts break again. If anyone else wants to try it now and post about it I wouldn't complain though.

The McMaster Carr ones would probably work. I'd measure the height of the rubber on the stock ones and try to get one that was the same. Might have to drill the holes in the air cleaner and air cleaner mounting bracket and put nuts on both ends of the mount.

Luckily I had a new one in the trunk of my car! Here are its specs, I'll stand by these numbers, I used good calipers-

Uro parts, 617 988 0111

6mm OD threaded sections, 1mm per thread
Total length 41.5mm
each threaded section length 11.75mm
cylindrical section length 18mm
cylindrical section diameter 24.6mm

So this is extremely extremely close to mcmaster part 9376K206, I'd be astounded if that part didn't work.

Oh.. these unscrew from the covers? My bad. Already used epoxy which is still holding. Would have rather replaced.

Go to ********. They have Uro air cleaner mounts for $.47 each. Use the 617 988 01 11 number for a parts search.

I just ordered a set of 3 of these in neoprene from McMaster. I'll put them on as soon as they get here and post what I find.

Well, I just installed them. They fit just like the stock ones, no mods at all. I chose the neoprene. Now we'll see how they last. My son delivers pizza with this car so it will see it's share of abuse! I'll post again when they fail.

BTW McMaster is amazing with their shipping. I ordered these just before 5pm on a Tuesday and they arrived Wednesday afternoon! No special shipping arrangements, UPS standard service. They are in NJ, I am in SE Virginia. I have always gotten fast shipping from McMaster.
