Do I have a 722.315 transmission?

Does it have a 3.07 to 1 differential or 3.46 to 1?

You should have the 3:07 Diff. not sure of the trans.
The 300D`s none turbo have the 3:46. 82 thru 84 turbos have the 3:07.

To check on the ratio, look at the Diff from the rear. It is stamped on the lower left corner. scrape off the grease and grime, it`s there.

The trans mission has the model stamped on the side in a row of numbers. should be above the edge of the pan. don`t remember which side.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
