Thumbs up

Last real recorded miles on this 603 were 241k and some change back in '05. I would be surprised if I have put 15k on it since then. I have suspicion the head has been off before but no documentation to prove, but if true... I do not believe the job was done properly.

Okay, I have new style injectors and prechambers so I need the new style GPs.

I am going to do my expansion tank and the rest of the cooling system hoses... even that $90 lower rad hose. I do not trust that tank anymore.

Vac pump is the new style, four bolt job. Oil pressure has always been good, should I do the pump? I do not see them being inexpensive like the Melling for my Small Ford.

Not sure if I need the 606 gasket, I have no reason to turn the power up on this car and do not plan to do so. I am going to have the IP resealed and calibrated to the high side of factory spec at a quality shop and be done with that aspect of fueling... and do the same with boost, high side of factory spec. I just need to find out what turbocharger is more efficient, the KKK or the T3. I have both.

The performance is more than adequate for what the vehicle is currently and the durability is there... which is what I enjoy this car for, simplicity and durability.

X2 on MB OE bolts. They'd already been rev'd a few times when I did mine three years ago.

Never used one. Never done a hardcore build nor put a a 606 gasket on a 603. The 606 gasket IS MLS, and according to the Finns, it fits, and works fantastic. Their dyno's made me a believer. People are making 500WHP on OM606 gaskets. It must be sealing enough.

What makes the OE head bolts superior to the aftermarket? I believe they are Victor Reinz.
