Please identify
I pulled the instrument cluster today and found this group of black wires and a connector sitting inside the dash. They weren't connected to anything, so I am wondering where they go and what they do. I hope the picture is clear enough for identification purposes.

I'm going to guess this is on your 84 300D yes? or is it on the SD? either way, it's a set of fiber optics that connects to a light source in the cluster... it provides the lights to your other dash switches.

IIRC the optics connect in the CCU, not in the cluster, but I'm not sure. it's been a while since I opened the dash on my SD. they send light to the lights behind the switches above the CCU
