How Are INTERNAL Coolant Leaks Detected?
Am I correct in assuming that pressure testing the cooling system only detects EXTERNAL system leaks? If so, how are INTERNAL leaks (i.e. coolant into engine or transmission) detected? I know fluid analaysis is one way. But how would my indie do it?
Conversely, if pressure testing the system DOES help diagnose an internal leak, how exactly does that work? I know these are probably basic questions....thought you guys could help me out with my ongoing education. Thanks.
