85300SD heat drvr feet & drvr side derost

I did look and found some great threads but not the exact same issue.
1. does anyone have a simple diagram for W126 vacuum lines to doors/flaps
in dash ?
Passenger heat awesome driver feet none, also when in defrost mode should air come out of one of the 2 side vents to the left of the steering wheel ? I will go out and check in a minute to see it it does so on the pax side. This is not critical but is has been damn chilly here in the a.m. about 17-20 degrees ( the new GP's and battery start her right up with or without plugging in)
Thanks
Alan

Common problem on the W126. Both of mine suffer from it.

Apparently, the arm for the driver's side vent disconnects or fractures from the bellcrank and that vent won't open.

Best as I can see, it's no fun to attempt to get down in there and replace it, although it is something that I really would like to do................

Brian, I have read a few really good threads on short term fixes for this and will give it a shot Tuesday. I have a little trouble getting into the footwell ( I am 6'4" and 300lbs) it is kind of a tight fit, you should see me get under the dash of my 911 ! I will post here what I do and or find.
Thanks
Alan

I've managed to take a look at the problem piece many years ago...........however extracting it from its hiding place won't be all that simple. If you do find a quick way...........I'd really be appreciative.

I've never seen anyone write a proper fix...........only the usual "prop the vent open with an ice cream stick" approach.
