How can I decode my VIN now?

It appears that the old Russian site has closed or is somehow restricted.

Does anyone know any way to decode a VIN?

I am looking to get details on mine:

WDBCB35D4LA548715 on the 91 350SDL I bought from benhogan.

I tried to join owner's online at MBUSA and it rejected the VIN. I even double-checked it on the car, still no go. Is it a gray market car, lkike the 380SL I bought that's a Euro model?

Any suggestions?

You can do it in the EPC. It's not as quick and easy as the Russian site was, but it gives you the same information. Open up EPC and type in the VIN. Once the car loads, go to Functions, Datacard (Ctrl+F6). A window will appear with all the information the Russian site used to give.

Wow, way cool! Too bad you have to look up the option codes instead of having them all described as on the Russian site. Still doesn't give me any information on my 1968 W110.
