Upgrading to turbo radiator 1980 300td
Oem radiator for 1980 300d/td/cd not available any more. Summit makes one but it's back ordered and I need one soon. Has anyone installed the turbo radiator in a NA car and added the overflow tank? Is there any reason this won't work?

This would work, yes. See this guide on replacing the expansion tank to get an idea of how it's attached.

Just install one from a 240D.....I have a 240D on my euro as it didn't come with ac...

i've done it. Works great. Just pick and pull the expansion tank hoses and tank. fab a lil bracket to hold it there on top the fender. Ride on!

I installed the upgraded radiator. Looks great. Only tip is that you will need the shroud for the turbo radiator.
