Clips for bumper replacement

Not diesel specific, but need help.

1998 W210 E300

I'm replacing the front bumper after an encounter with a road alligator (shreded semi-tire carcass).

I went to this link:http://www************//oemcatalog/index.cfm?action=getPartLocator&siteid=2&chapter=&Sectionids=0,2276&groupid=51817&subgroupid=3381&co mponentid=0&makeid=67&model=E%20Class&year=1998&graphicID=5716010&callout=15&catalogid=2&displayCata logid=0

I need the big parts, #23 and #11. I also need to replace the chrome bumper trim, right side #15. What I don't know is how many of the clips I need. They are cheap enough I'll just order all new ones for the job, but it would be nice knowing if I need 4 or 40. I don't want to pull the bumper off until I get the new one painted up/ready to go, and don't have the luxury of keeping the car off the road waiting on some clips.

I believe I need:

Clip #17 - quantity ? - secure the right side chrome trim
Clip #12 - quantity ? - secure the front bumper trim.

I'm also assuming that the bumper cover itself is secured to the chassis by a few bolts at the front, I believe I was sent those with my replacement cover. Luckily my fog lights and the mounts survived the hit. My side marker lights, did not...so I need those too.

Item #17 in the link is part number 124 988 90 78. Item #12 is part number 008 988 56 78.

Contact the folks here, buy parts button above for quantities.

Go to your local authorized mercedes benz dealer parts counter. Explain your situation and ask to see the parts drawing from the computer for your specific issue. Treat them nice and ask them to print out a copy for you. Make your parts selection from the drawing.

Thanks for the part numbers. I can't figure out the quantities. The "local" MB dealer is over an hour each way with traffic (Atlanta), prefer to order/ship. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I click buy parts, can't find those bits anywhere, nor by searching for the part number.

Left a message for Lee yesterday.....
