What can I do with old parts?

Question is in the title. I have an old radiator and water pump taking up space. Do you think scrap metal recyclers would take it off of my hands?

get the aluminum core seperated from the plastic tanks and get as much steel out of the water pump as possible. mixed metals tend to get less than "pure"

they'll take it, but don't expect much money. I fill my trailer with steel, over 2000lbs of scrap, and barely get 200.00
aluminum is more expensive, so you might get 8 or so bucks for that.

You could use your old water pump as a boat anchor, thats about all they are good for or maybe a door stop.

Scrap Aluminum is worth a little, there are kids that collect the stuff over here for pocket money. Story has it they make sure there is plenty of sand in the core to increase the weight !! Same goes for an old battery.

Buy some wall clock kits and make cool garage/man cave accessories?

I bring whatever scrap I have to the scrap yard. It's a little money back in my pocket and its being recycled.
