intermittent blower problems 96 e300d
My blower comes on about 95% of the time and works like it should the other 5% it does not work at all does not come on does this sound like motor brushes,relay, or something else. Thanks for any help

The car did again and was able to test the defrost and the fan does not work in defrost.

I find that mine sometimes will indicate full "throttle" on the fan speed indicator but the fan is just wafting along. Then, after a while, it roars to life for a while and quits.
I think it's the blower driver/amplifier going south.

Interested in info about verifying full 'climate control fan' performance in our W210. Clicked on this thread not knowing what it was about.
May I suggest the OP consider editing the title appropriately? Perhaps: "96 E300 W210 Blower motor intermitent operation." Year/model/ chassis/ issue. This helps users engaging the search function in the future.
