"Here are the stock Mercedes rims. You can see that the tires have good tread on them. You can also see just the very beginnings of some browning along the fender lip edges."

ie... RUST...

Sure, next time, I'll plan to find things earlier.

A friend of mine asked me to check out another item this guy is selling, as he had a last minute change of schedule and couldn't meet the seller. I met the guy in his place since I am 5-10 minutes away. While there, I noticed this gorgeous W123 and was very sad to hear it was for sale on ebay and closing tonight. I have a soft spot for the W123

.....I just got home.

Enjoy ladies.

Anyone here that bids and wins, I will gladly help. I have truck and trailer.

One mans rust is another mans "browned steel".

One fish shack's 'blackened fillet of_____" is another eatery's 'burnt special'.

FWIW: This guy is a straight shooter and does a decent job describing his cars. Anyone interested in something he is selling, I will gladly take a look and report back here or live on the phone. He had 4 Mercedes on site. He also had a gorgeous Volvo 240 wagon with a 5 speed manual.

Ugly car. Painted over roof rails. Rust starting and hidden by bad paint job; and under front bumper. ripped seats and sagging back seat pockets. Horrible cargo area. dirty engine. Broken headlight door, and over 215K? Plus bad pictures that do not show enough detail to see the real baloney. This is a $1500 car tops IMHO.

If anyone's interested, there's an '82 sedan for sale near me in Marion PA. It is a light blue metallic with the blue interior, 246K miles. I didn't hear it run, but it is straight with no body damage or rust. Looks to have been well taken care of. If I didn't have my '83, I'd be all over this one.
