my latest 87 TD engine issues.

ok, I got time to pull the car off the trailer today, most of the snow gone.
cranked it up, and decided to investigate the miss.
plenty of gray smoke and a evident miss.
cracked injector #1 big drop in RPM... tighten it back up.
injector #2... no change... good fuel spray out the nut...
cracked #3... big drop in RPM... tighten it back up.
#4... no change... good fuel spray...
$5... no change ... good fuel spray...
#6 big drop in rpm


so...
the car runs this well on 3 cylinders? NFW!!! I opened all three of the bad injectors... no drop in RPM CRAZY
I will be pulling the injector lines, and injectors and doing a compression test next.
I'm guessing bad compression on the dead pots...
I may try swapping the injectors on the bad pots to good pots and see if the dead follow...
if all else proves fruitless, I'll pull the motor and put it on a stand and see what's up.

One day, I am going to drive up there and work on something with you...mmm, maybe have you help me reboot my axles? Or perhaps R&R my injection pump? Install larger turbo and euro w140 exhaust manifold? All of the above?

Definitely will have to be in the warmer months though ;-)

Thats a bummer. Hopefully the injectors are just really gummed up from bad fuel or something. I'm shocked you don't have extra good injectors lying around with all your cars. Shocked
