Fleetguard 5319

Hi,

On the road right now... Happened upon two fleetguard ff5319 filters that seriously fell off a truck (stopped and rescued two off the road - the third was crushed).

Will this work on an om 616/617?

Thanks!

Not even remotely. The stud hole is about 1/2" too large.

... not unless you buy a base for it and mount it somewhere on the car.

The FF5319 is a 2 micron filter at 92% efficiency which cross referenced to the 2 micron absolute CAT 1R-0749 filter. This filter is the taller version of the 2 micron absolute CAT 1R-0750 that is used by forum member Diesel911 on his 300D and by many VW TDI'ers, Duramaxer's and etc.

Diesel911 made an adapter to use the CAT 1R-0750, if you want to use the filter, you might want to contact him to see if he's willing to make and sell one to you.

No it isn't. The thread size is different.

They both use the same 1"-14 thread size.

Fleetfilter cross reference lookup.

CAT 1R-0749, FF5319
Largest OD: 93.47 mm (3.68 in)
Overall Height: 240.54 mm (9.47 in)
Thread Size: 1-14 UNS-2B

CAT 1R-0750, FF5320
Largest OD: 93.47 mm (3.68 in)
Overall Height: 176.28 mm (6.94 in)
Thread Size: 1-14 UNS-2B

The CAT 1R-0750 is considered the "short" version of the 1R-0749.
