Free injection pump timing checks till May 31, 2014

I have developed a Xenon RIV timing light and I am offering free timing checks in Whitestone NY zip 11357 for the next 2 weeks ending May 31, 2014. After that, there will be a small fee for a timing check. I will also be offering this tool for rent (fee TBD).

If you have these engines with the RIV port on the bottom sump of the IP, my timing light should be compatible:

617.952 (all 1985 models and 1984 California models)
601, 602, 603, 605, 606

Basically any Mercedes diesels 1985 and up with the inline pump with the RIV port.

This is the tool.





Very easy to use compared to the Mercedes RIV A-B position indicator. Takes 5 minutes to get a timing reading:

1. Remove RIV plug on IP and catch the oil.
2. Thread sensor into RIV port, plug in the white cord.
3. Connect timing light to battery terminals and start engine.
4. Aim timing light at the timing marks on balancer wheel on the crankshaft and take your reading.
