Size of fuel tank in my 1980 300SD
I just purchased a 1980 300sd and was wondering if MB had a different fuel tank available at one time. I also have a 84 300sd and the amount of room in the trunk is quite different. This tank sticks back into the trunk by about 12 inches. I am not complaining just trying to figure it out. I cannot find anyplace that called for an optional tank on this model. Thank you

the 116 trunk is not the same as the 126 trunk. but there are several examples of spare fuel tanks installed in these vehicles. you may have one.
