w210 seatbelt question

the tensoner on the driverside seatbelt seems to be slow and not fully retracting the belt back in..i was thinking about taking it out to check things out and/or just possibly replace the whole strap. would i set off any srs lights by dicking around in that area and unbolting the belt?

Only if you have to un-plug the seatbelt retractor, i cant remember if you do or not (but i am pretty sure you have seat-belt pre-tensioners), Just dont turn the key on until it is plugged back in. On those though it normally seems like the belt gets twisted behind the panel and causes problems like that.
