So what is everyone paying for a gallon now? Here it is $3.79 a gal for D2 and about $3.59 for B5

How about using the big mac index? How much fuel can you buy for the cost of a big mac?

Does anybody really buy a Big Mac any more?

The more relevant comparison is the price of the oil in the fryer to diesel.

fryer: CAD $4.73 ($1.25 / litre)
diesel: CAD $3.97 ($1.05 / litre)

(today USD is worth about 98 cents CAD)

$3.15-3.19 here. Not bad when I see the other prices.

And Alastair, I believe there's 3.78 liters to the US gallon. So it's even worse than you thought.

3.40 here in GA.... But considering that my rover has to use premium, which is 3.36 and only gets 14 miles per gallon I'm still coming out ahead.
