Replaced turn switch and now no horn

So I replaced the connection turn switch on the side of the steering wheel, (turn signal & high been switch) and now my horn doesn’t work. I must have damaged something. I know the horn fuse is good because my outside temp gauge is working.

I removed the steering wheel again to see if I could find out what I did wrong, I’ve cleaned the four cooper connection switches under the steering wheel, and checked all the wiring. My srs light on the dash is now on, and I’m getting power to the four copper connection switches. But still no horn.

Any help would be wonderful, thank you.

There was a thread last week concerning the problem of, not all years of the W123 having the same multiswitch even though they look much the same. Dont know if that could apply to your situation but just thought I'd mention it.

Thank you for the information. I'll look into that, I know it has to do with the steering wheel and how it's set up.

He said the horn "wouldn't shut off" when he installed the parts car replacement.

At least his horn worked. I can't even get mine to work. So I can't pass inspection. Not good. Still working on the issue

There are two wires that must be reattached to the turn signal assembly those two wires (one black one brown) go to the horn.

Still haven't been able to get my horn working and my SRS light to go out. Does anyone know where that other link is? I've attempted a search, but nothing comes up.

Don't you love it when it's all your fault, i didn't notice that the new switch didn't come with the new carbin switches for the horn. So I had to dig through the trash parts bin and pull them back out and replace them in the new unit. Worked like a charm.

thank you all for your help.
