87 TD vehicle pulls left and right now.

Today I was awakened by the car my baby mamma drives, failing to start. so MY day was very poorly greeted...
I jacked up the driver's side and supported with jack stand. jacked up by the LCA mount, and left the passenger's tire on the ground.
starter change went fine, but now, the car when driving on the road, any dips in the road, and the car will pull one direction or the other.
also while driving on the highway it will spontaneously pull one way then the other... very odd feeling. the steering wheel doesn't turn, just the car pulls... very very odd...
I'm guessing the LCA bushings got damaged, or they were already weak and cracked, and my loading the car oddly pushed them over the edge...

granted the car should be able to be supported by its suspension, but this is why I avoid this method.

Definitely seems like a bad bushing. The car will be better for it.

Toe out will cause pull back and forth / unstable direction on highway.

yeah, but no problems before jacking up the car, and now it randomly will almost jerk one direction or the other. I don't think it's toe... it's like all of a sudden one wheel or the other will just shift back and cause the car to pull...

Loose bushing or failed component of some sort. Jack it up (by a chassis point) and use a large (36" +) prybar to manipulate all mounting points looking for play.

This is going to be a simple part failure.

Best of luck.

common occurance for lower control arm bushings, at certain speeds if you nudge the wheel one way or another or the road does it for you will squish the rubber out and while your wheel does not turn one of the cars is , they drive me nuts in my cavalier everytime i replace one another does it 6 months later, im running out of stock bushings

Put a wrench on the eccentric and see if any of them move freely?

That bushing on the link of the rear suspension lower arm probably bit it when you loaded that side.

When they go out on the 124 the car steers left or right depending on throttle position.

It's very dramatic.

that sounds like my issue... I've not had time to look it over yet. I just commandeered the car from the lady! let her drive my dilapidated SD... I'll make some time to find and fix the problem pretty soon, right?...

Torque steering. Just replaced all the links on my car because of this. Jack the rear end up, engage parking brake/transmission. Put a lug wrench or whatever on the wheel and see if it moves back and forth as you tighten/loosen wheel. Mine was shifting back and forth about 6".

I also changed both fuel filters when I serviced the starter on the car... the car is MUCH MUCH MUCH more powerful now...
this could be another contributing factor...

Yup. After timing, filters and fixing my boost leaks the problem got really bad. Just touching the go pedal on the road and the steering wheel would turn right.
