Hello, Was wondering if anyone knows where to find one of these timing device ramps. I know they changed to a single piece unit but there must be someone who makes or has one. I'm trying to diagnose an engine knock and found a scar on the ramp and would love to replace it, now that i have it apart. Thanks for any help. 1985 300TD

Well, it's definetly not an ignition pump. Those 617's do have some strange parts but not an ignition pump. If you don't to buy want a new one, I would say an injection pump from the local P&P would work.

I would think you might find a good one at the wrecking yard, most vacuum pumps will be gone which will make your job easy. I would guess that little roller coaster tack is the same on allot of 617s and maybe 616s.
