1985 euro 500sel 86 300sdl windshield swap?

will the windshield from a 85 500sel(grey market) fit in 86 300sdl? thanks

You don't want to spend $300 and get a new one fitted? For all the bother I wouldn't want an old piece of sandblasted piece of glass to stare at.

No reason why it wouldn't fit. Sedan to sedan.

The windshield is glued in place. Good luck getting it out without cracking it or nicking the edge (which then starts a crack as soon as you get it in...)

Shop the job, I had one installed in my 83 300SD for less than $200 a couple of years ago.

Actually it's not glued in if it's original glass. It's held in place with thermal set tape. There's a heater wire embedded in the tape, so you just hook it up to the car battery for 15 min then the glass should come out easily.
