weeping oil cooler line question

As we start mud season in CT I noticed some rainbow water streaming out from under my 1990 300d. I looked under the car to dicover nasty leaking oil cooler lines. My question is do any of you know what style flare is at the end of the hoses? Is it a 37* "AN" style fitting? I have a friend that makes hydralic lines, would he have line ends that would work?

it's a metric reverse flare. if your friend has crimping capabilities, you can cut the collar off the hose, replace the 15mm hose, and crimp new high temp hose back onto the metal lines, and the fittings.

the line end swivels and the leak seems to be at the fittings between the hex and the collor that is crimped to the hose so I think that reusing the hose ends are out of the question. This is my only car besides my wifes so I would like to have new lines made before removing the old ones if at all possible. Im sure that if I knew the thread size and flair angle that I could make something work. Maybe I should just suck it up and buy some oil and break one of the fittings loose and take some measurements. Sorry if I'm crabby I just dont like working outside in the cold wet dirt. Its allot more comfortable to poke on the computer and pick your brain.

in that case, it'd be best to remove the lines, and be sure to mark upper and lower, then unscrew the fittings from the cooler... be careful, the cooler is aluminum as well as the fittings...
