87 190 dt heated seats & dash temp guage

Does anyone know where the Heated seat relays are in this car, they are not beside the fuse console under the hood. I have the switches in the console and they light up and stay lit when momentarily pushed but the seats don't warm up. Not sure how this works , I was under the impression that the relays were latching so if there is power to the switch there should be power to the heating elements. Also trying to track down a problem with the outside temp guage it always reads 54C is it the guage or the temp sensor. Anyone have experience with this Cheers Dan

I can`t help you with the heated seats, but maybe this thread will help on your out side temp display.

Someone with a W201 repair manual will have to chime in about the relay. In a W126 the relay for the front seats lives under the passenger seat if I recall correctly.

If the lights are on but nobody is home I would pull out my meter and check for continuity on the elements. Start at the plug for the relay and work backwards.
