these weren't my first choice for a replacement wheel, but for $450 with new tires i couldn't pass them up. the wheel gap isn't terrible for a 40 series and the ride is still good. enjoy:

Not my first choice either but I think they look fine. In fact I wouldn't have expected them to look as good as they do, but as you said for the price with new tires you could hardly pass on them.

thank you. i think the 210 looks fantasic with a more "solid" wheel, but these are growing on me more and more. a set of springs and pads are next on the list.

E55 springs are your best bet.

theres a black e300 here in bakersfield with those on and it actually looks really good. makes the car look more modern and less grandma like.

I would agree, the factory E class wheels are a bit too much grandma, too much aluminum, and that's the same reason I'm not a fan of monoblocks either. I don't find them offensive but the monoblocks are just not my choice. Having said that I think they do look fine on some models. Also not my favorite is the W140 OE wheel (maybe the later ones are 'ok') but again too much wheel and not enough open space.

I have a preference for cars with spoked wheels, particularly seven spokes, but five and nine are also workable as well. The thing I don't like is staggered wheels though, no opportunity to rotate tires which means you're stuck.

Again though I think you've made a good choice, it definitely wakes up the exterior of the car a lot.
