need to rent/borrow spring compressor-300 sdl

I have sent pms to all listed in the tool rental section. Does any one have a spring compressor for rent? I have a lot of front end work to do and it all hinges on the removal of front springs. I really dont want to have to buy one for a one time use.

I've rented mine out at the moment, but one of my customers has one, I'll get him to drop you a line.

I went to auto zone and rented a strut compressor. When you take it back they refund your money in full.

Ridge runner- did that work ok? I looked at a lot of threads and pics and everyone says it is easier and safe to use the plate type spring compressor rather than the hook type?

babymog has used the autozone compressor bolts, his thoughts are worth reading... NOT safe, but it can be done with extreme caution.
I bought a compressor... I'll likely buy another one, as one seems to be out on rent all the time... I'll get one with more features this time. it's too long to work on rear 124 springs...
might as well get the short kit with it.

he should be emailing you shortly from his phone, or tomorrow from his office.

It is scary enough using the proper flat plate one with that termendous force of energy stored up in that spring. There is no way I would use the autozone hook compressor!! I started to and stopped to get the right one. Plus it didn't fit in that area quite right. Too dangerous to mess with
