Coolant Hose coming out of block???

Hi guys, long time no post. I've got a quick question. The hose coming out of the block (over by the alternator) that connects to the servo was leaking, so I took it off, which was not easy on account of where it's located, how long it was on there, and back pain.

Anyways, it seems that one side of the hose is much bigger than the other. The part that connects to the T that connects to the servo is 5/8" but the side that connects to the block looks much bigger. Is this a special hose I need or do I just need to stretch a 5/8 hose to fit?

Get the "Formed" Factory Hose.

Stretching,Pulling,Deforming Coolant hoses is asking for trouble.

If Silicone Heater Hose acts the same way Silicon Vacuum Hoses does it should easily stretch and fit Both ends if you bought some to fit the smaller Diameter.

A visual match of the Hose at an internet part seller came up with: part #1238323594,
Heater Hose; From Return Pipe to Engine
For models with chassis serial number through 211431. For models with heater servo type system only. 1 per car.

You definately do not want to get this at the Dealer. An online part seller of OE Mercedes parts had that part number at MSRP $174 and selling at $130.50.

naw, it' won't stretch, heater hose has cord reinforcement in it. it has to be formed for the size use.
any auto parts house should have a hose you can use. likely with long bends in it, you can cut off... no biggie!

WOW, check the price on fastlane, $3.60 compared to the $11.03 on Allparts. usually Allparts is cheaper.
