car goes pfhhffppphfpffppphfphpffhpfpfhphffhp
On my 86 190d (om602 na) the pipe to and from my oxidizer / cat rotted out so I had a replacement pipe made with the oxidizer delete option Press bent pipes, not mandrel. Unfortunately, it now sounds like a rice burner with a fart can. New muffler and front pipe with resonator done last year (not a universal fit job, the proper ones). What happened? What can I do? Car not worth new oxidizer. my car sounds like pfhhffppphfpffppphfphpffhpfpfhphffhphfphfphfpfhfph except at higher rev's.

Find the exact point of exhaust leakage first. Sometimes they are easy to repair and sometimes not. You have to find the exact leak location to know.

Or most exhaust places offer free inspection is another alternative to finding it. The last option is earplugs I suppose. |

You probably have a node at a leak. The node moves as you wind it up and you get an antinode at the leak instead.
My accord showed me how much noise a little car can make until the exhaust is buttoned up.
