What's shaking?

My 95 E300D has a very faint shake at idle. It almost seems as though engine is missing. At cold start up (below 30) the engine sort of moans and shakes heavily for about 5 seconds and then everything smoothes out.

Fuel pump o-rings were replaced last year.

Indy thinks it's the injector nozzles. All motor mounts are good including transmission mounts.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated-I hate to fix by process of elimination.

George

So does it shake all the time, or just for the first 5 seconds that it's running?

Shakes hard on cold start (fires up immediately) but the shake at idle is subtle but steady at operating temperature.

My 300SD shakes as well. It's a steady shake, like one shake cycle per engine revolution. A slight touch on the accelerator pedal (i.e. increase idle to 1000 rpm or so) eliminates it. I also wondered if it's normal or not.
