What should you expect to pay for a decent driver example?

I'm looking at one with limited rust, automatic, near perfectly straight body and very decent interior. Guy want $1900.

That might well be a fair price if the car is sound. I recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic who is familiar with mercedes diesels. If the motor needs to be gotten into it gets expensive fast.

I know these aren't in your area, but there aren't that many 220d's on the market. At least you can compare claimed conditions and asking prices.
