1980 euro 300dt parts to 1982 300td American wagon
I've got a 1982 300td, mileage unknown, probably in the mid to high 100,000s that I'm in the fools quest of restoring.
I have a 300Td non-turbo euro parts car. The motor has only 30k on it. Other then the different differential, what else can be swapped out? Can I take the American transmission and put it on the naturally aspirated motor? Motor mounts and what not transfer ok? It looks like the oil cooler and radiator are a bit different, I'll keep those around too. The idea is to grab as much from the donor car, use the bits I need and store the ones for when I do, which was also to include the engine. The sls system appears to be pretty much the same, as well as the rest of the suspension and brakes. Since I'm new to these things, any other mechanical bits that I'll be able to pry off the carcass before the rust goes to the junk yard?

Many (most) parts are exactly the same.
And most will interchange. The engine & trans will FIT, but are not the same as the 1982 turbo components. Even the radiator is most likely different.
