Darn. I sold my 240D (sans transmission and starter) for $200. I even included a working auto trans out of my '83.

Pricy, but a cool idea. he wants more for that, than most of our cars are worth.:D
Now why didn`t I think of that? A while back Brian (BGkast) made an office chair from a 123 seat. Charlie |
I'll take his idea, do it for half the cost!
|
That one is expensive because ...as he lists it.... it was a Turbo 240d....very rare table.
|
If any one was to buy it, the saying "a fool & his money are soon parted" would apply !!
|
Wow....$2100. Cost of trunk lid $30, cost of wood to make drawer: $50, Legs: $50.....time to put together....maybe 6-8 hours? Thats one heck of a markup! Thats $700 more than we paid for my brothers very nice condition 300D and sister's spotless 190E!
|
It would be cool if it were freshly painted, all badges shiny, had a glass top so you could actually use it, and was $500.

I saw one a while back that used a V-8 block and connecting rods as a base, with a glass top to make a sweet (if overpriced) coffee table.

For that price it should come with a matching driver seat chair with new pads and upholstery.

wow... I wonder if I listed one for 700 bucks if it'd sell... I have a nice 300E Deck lid.

those legs look really really ****ty. Looks like he bolted the trunk lid to a cheap sawhorse, and applied a 2000 dollar "art" markup.
