when is it time?

My 300D has around 220,000 miles on it. I am interested in doing some preventative maintenance. The car has only been driven 1000 miles in the last 5 years, never in winter. I plan to drive it year round. Is it time to replace glow plugs, injectors or nozzles, and/or timing chain? Anything else?

What year is your 300D and is it a turbo or non-turbo?

It's a 1983 turbo. I bought it last fall from a gentleman who bought it five years previous for his wife. He spent $6000 refurbishing it, inclubing a transmission rebuild. He was tired of forking out money to store it every winter so he unloaded it. A/c doesn't work, both rear windows aren't working, heating isn't working properly (I'll replace monovalve and see what happens). I'm no mechanic but I love the car and am willing to learn. Any help is appreciated.

a) A/C - mine required new compressor, pushbutton unit and installing a tie wrap to get the center vent doors to open. Diyer project if you do not mind the hard work (changing compressor).
b) Rear windows will require new regulators. This is a good diyer project.
c) Monovalve is easy.

Would it be the regulators or possibly the motors. How can I tell. For the a/c how much would I be looking at potentially. I don't want to spend more on the a/c than I did on the car.

How I check windows.

1) remove door panel
2) locate terminal block for wires
3) use battery charger to apply voltage in both directions
only apply voltage momentarily
4) you can run them up and down this way for troubleshooting
