Is 51 degrees ok ?
My ac was not cooling well so I added 1 can of R134 using a gauge and it now shows about halfway in green part.
My temp is a steady 51 degrees. Does this sound ok ? I got this gauge at auto zone, do you think anywhere in the green is ok if the temp is good ? Should I try to add a little more to bring gauge up more in green or leave it alone ? Thanks, Revolverman. |

what car? what outdoor temp? what speed are you driving at the time of measuring the outlet?
51 would be ok if it's 105 outside, and you have massive humidity, and the car is sitting still on the road. aside from that, you should be more like 42. adding more freon may not be what you need, you may need an aux fan working, you may need condenser cleaning, you may need mouse nest removed from your blower wheel. the "in the green" gauge is kinda useless for much of anything.

I think the only one who can answer your question is you. If you think your AC is adequate, I guess it's ok.
If you want to get the vent temp down ~10* you will need to do some diagnostics as VStech mentions.
