Injector rebuild with new nozzles? Where?

Does anyone know a good place to have injectors rebuilt? I am planning on getting new monark nozzles, but I don't have the tools to pop test them. I am not sure where I can get this done or how much people generally charge. I've got a 85 300d

There's a guy on the forum who does this kind of work by mail. Another option is to look in your area for a diesel repair shop and ask them.

Monark Injectors

If I'm correct, you'll want to contact C Sean Watts on this forum.

You are correct !!!

Drizzy,
Welcome to the forum !!!!
You will find that we are a friendly group, always keen to help out a fellow MB owner!!
The combined experience & knowledge about MB diesels on here is hard to beat!!
Just remember that there is no such thing as a silly question!! Some of the answers you get maybe though!!

You are making the right decision to look for some one who knows what they are doing with regard to injectors.
While DIY is very doable, those who work on these injectors regularly develop skills that others may not have.

Yep, DIY is in my DNA, but there is definitely a learning curve on rebuilding the injectors yourself. Sean Watts is a good guy to deal with.

Just curious, is your recommendation of CSW based on personal experience or just plain hearsay? Seems unlikely that a chap in Oz would get his injectors serviced in North Carolina, USA.

Ah, well then I'll amend that to say I've had good dealings with him.

I also have good things to say about C Sean Watts. He rebuilt my 240D injectors and my 190D injectors at reasonable cost.

I got hit by a falling tree and had some down time then. The most dangerous thing now is watch from a distance while someone ELSE does the cutting .

At the moment Customs is being a royal pain....

I know several members of this forum away from the forum. So I guess you could say its hearsay but the information I have from them based on their personal experience is that CSW does a very good job.

I can remember when he posted saying please dont send me any work for a while, I guess that was when he had his "little' mishap.

In terms of his work, I have seen pics of the mating surfaces that he has lapped & its fair to say that he does not do quick rough work.

Its sad that one or two may have got caught when he had the mishap, but lets be reasonable. Didnt he do your work as soon as he was able?

I recently had C Sean Watts rebuild the injectors for my 300SD.
He is a great guy to deal with and willing to answer any questions I had prior to me sending the old injectors.
The work was excellent and done in a very reasonable time frame and cost.
I highly recommend him.
