W123 wagon rear subframe mounts?

Unlike the W123 sedan, I have learned the sub-frame rubber mounts for my '84 300TD are a 'dealer only' item. The wagon part number isn't even in the EPC.

Has anyone seen uninstalled W123 sedan and wagon mounts side-by-side?

I'll pay the premium for the right item but knowing how &/or why they are different will make me feel better about it.

Dave

Welcome to the forum.

I didn`t know the Sub frame Bushings were different, learning something new here. I thought they were the same, good to know.

I do know the front sway or Tortion bar is a dealer only item also. the bar it 2mm thicker for the TD.

Give Phill a call 888-333-4642. or look in the buy parts tab above. the number is there and his e-mail. everything in the online catalog is not listed. he has resources in various places, and may get them for you. very knowledgable guy, with year of parts experience.

To follow up for future search users.

I was able to view and handle both W123 subframe mount versions today.

wagon - 123 350 03 75 (original Mercedes)
sedan - 123 350 01 75 (Meyle)

With the exception of the part number stamped on the rubber, they appear identical in all other respects. That is an opinion shared by the Mercedes parts person and myself. I had planned to weigh them to see if their was any tiny difference but it was very obvious they were the same without resorting to nit-picking.

I will not claim to be the final word on the subject but am more than confident installing the Meyle version on all my W123 wagons. If anyone prefers to pay the extra $150 (ish) for the set from Mercedes, I say more power to you!
