1979 300SD Turbo Diesel ... rear CLUNK when turning

2 days ago, i ran over something in the driveway ... and I heard a "creak".

This morning when driving around a bend/curve or turning at any speed, I hear a loud CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK.

Any help what went wrong & what I can do to fix ... much appreciated.

Christian

When my 1980 got a clunk - only while turning - it turned out that a
short link connecting the rear sway bar had broken on one side.

So , no matter what you need to get under the rear and start looking.

If nothing visual shows up lift rear end and start shaking and twisting
wheels and parts looking for looseness .

Check the donuts holding the exhaust too.

Sway bar end links would be my guess as well. Cheap, easy fix.
