car is finally working again
After a lot of screwing around, I finally have a running car with working brakes again. I got a barely used MC from a user here and put it on today. My old MC was full of wet fluid and crud, and when I undid the lines, nothing drained out of the fittings for the front calipers, even though the reservoir was full. I put everything back together, and now I was quickly able to get fluid to all the calipers, unlike before. But after much pumping and bleeding and even trying the suction bleeder, I still had almost no brakes at all and a pedal that sank nearly to the floor.
After paging through a whole bunch of old posts here about brake bleeding, I found one that mentioned that the bleeder valves should be at the top of the caliper. I had installed the rear calipers based on what side the box said that they should go on, and they were backwards. The bleeders were at the bottom. Switching sides made all the difference in the world. A few minutes of blowing air out of the lines and now I have brakes again! The car no longer drags to the right all the time, although now I can hear that there is a slightly warped rotor somewhere, too. Are these rotors designed to be resurfaced, or are they a disposable item once they warp?

If they are warped you must replace them..
but if they are worn you can look at the stamp on the edge to see if they are still thick enough to use a brake lathe on to clean up.... BUT new ones do not cost much .... might try that before paying someone to make yours thinner...

They're actually not that worn, but I can tell that at least one is slightly warped now. I know that some rotors are designed to be turn-able, and some are designed to be scrapped. Wasn't sure which ones these were, still don't have a FSM for this car.
