1985 126 300SD Under Hood switch?
There is a switch that clips into a mount on the passenger side firewall between the battery and the mono-valve. It looks like a door switch that operates the interior lights. It obviously switches on/off when the hood is up/down. Mine was broken so I replaced it. However, I have no idea why this switch is there. I cannot find any lights that come on when I open the hood. Maybe mine have been removed. Can anyone shed light on this mystery?
