passenger side UCA question

Hello! My passenger side upper control arm needs to be replaced. When I drive I can feel it below my feet and its making a creaking sound. The sound and "feel" is getting louder. Im starting to worry that its more than just my UCA bushings. I looked at my front suspension and I don't see anything additional that I can tell that needs to be replaced. Can anyone confirm that you can feel the passenger UCA from the drivers side... if I spray grease on the UCA, would it temporarily stop making noise? Im thinking that's a way I can isolate the sound.

Thank you!

Guide Rod Mount Bushings? Does it make a squeaky noise when you bounce the front end up and down? If yes, try to find the noise that way. There's a rod that goes back and connects to the subframe. The bushing can wear out and loosen up. Makes clunks when going over bumps and pot-holes.

The UCA is above the tire. Didn't you swap that out a while back?

The noise may be the part called the guide rod support (aka "brake support").

There should be a straight rod that goes from the LCA toward the firewall. That ends in a rubber covered thing. If they're old, the rubber will be flappy and the ball joint in there will be rusty. If so, you could try putting some grease in there to see if that affects the noise.

I have installed the drivers side. Now the passenger side needs replacing. The noise im hearing is a bit louder and im feeling it in my feet on the drivers side. Im concerned it might be more than just the upper control arm on the passenger side.

Ill try adding grease tomorrow and see what happens.

Ok I sprayed some liquid wrench in there and the squeak went away. The "feeling" went away for a little while but then it returned. It's amazing how you can feel the passenger UCA from the driver's side.

I checked my guide rod mount bushings. They are fine.
