intermittent climate control

I took apart the area above the radio on my 1985 300sd. When i tap on the underside of the climate control unit while it is in the fan mode, high fan, i witness the fan blowing and then not blowing. As I tap on the underside of the unit it affects the connection. It happens when any button is pressed in...

I tested it from defrost all the way back to the fan buttons....

any suggestions on how to make this work properly?

Well, as it turns out, 7 of the solder joints were cracked on the large flat board and perhaps one of the joints between the large flat board and one of the boards positioned 90° to it.

I resoldered those spots and now it works , "Showroom New"

I looked up CCU cold resolder to find the info since no one had any suggestions....
