Hard Shifting 1-2, 2-3, 3-4. Solved Dry/cracked rubber connector
Hello All,
Just wanted to say thanks for all that I've learned from this site. Symptoms. Were hard shifting all points. From what I recalled it could be low fluid or some type of vac issue. I checked the fluid and the level was good. (Could be serviced it's about due. filter and fluid) So that lead me to vac. I know the vac is working. That leads me to follow lines. Starting at the pump all looks good. Then just aft of the fuel pump, and in front of a limiting orifice. I found a broken/dry rubber connector and its cracked. In this diagram http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/attachment.php?attachmentid=43731&d=1177778132 It's where the hard line connects to part 61a just prior to 65 Vacuum control valve. Just a thank you to all you guys.

thats awesome, I need to do some work on my OM606- do you know where I can find the diagram for that engine? It only hard shifts about 1/2 the time, the rest is smooth. I did a transmission oil change and filter about 1.5 years ago and that helped a lot- will probably do that again also but I think I have some vacuum issue.

finally got my issue addressed with hard/erratic shifting- was a broken vacuum line by the modulator but also the front flex joint was hammered
