location of ac components please

trying to get the a/c working on my '82 300sd. No power to compressor, fuse good, system charged, jumped pressure switch. Need to check the following two components but don'y know where they are.

evaporator temperature regulator
ac compressor relay

I'd check the freeze switch... it may be the evaporator temp regulator... it's under the dashboard driver's side center.

just pull the panels and look. it's the only connector with screws holding wires... I'll go look at mine, the panels are still off...

oops, not screws. 1/4" spade connectors.
it's below the vacuum pod, and beside the txv tube...

Ok thanks, I'll take a look. Anyone know which relay is for the a/c? The wiring diagram says it is in the fuse box but the label on the cover does not show which one it is.

Just for informational purposes, the order of components is

(control side)
fuse - pushbutton control assy - freeze up switch, relay, ground

(controlled side)
Fuse, relay, low pressure cutout switch, compressor, ground.
