Anyone have experience with Enviro-safe stop leak products?

One of the forum members recommended that I consider using a stop leak product by Enviro-safe to address a leaking compressor.

http://www.es-refrigerants.com/products/w/id/37/t/stop-leak/details.asp

Does anyone have any experience good, bad, or otherwise?

I am impervious to all-stop-leaks-are-evil rhetoric....but am sure there are some to be avoided.

I used Cryoseal with great success on an evaporator....but now I need something that works on seals and o-rings.

Thanks.

I use enviro safe refrigerant, but would think twice about using any stop leak. Just think of the tiny orifaces in the expansion valve. Not to say it would not work, but if it does plug something it should not then you will have bigger problems.

Enviro-safe, I have not tried. Some other brands during a moment of weakness yes. None have worked in the long term!!
The ONLY way to fix leaking O-rings etc is to replace them !! I have had plenty of success doing that !!!!

if you put that crap in your system. never open it to the air. you'll be sorry. there's a thread around here with pictutes that will attest to what it does. as soon as it touches air it grows this slime/Crystalline structures through out wherever air gets to... fix the AC the right way. you'll be happier in the long run
