No A/C, sorta, Version 3.0

1995 E300D, 235,000 miles

I replaced the duo valve, the one that lives on the passenger side, in front of the battery. In reality the stem (plastic)on the brass plunger broke off so it never sealed, the valve is fine. Just fixed it with a brass rod with JB Weld.

Now I have cold air coming from the defroster vents, hot air from the side vents, nothing from the center vents. I checked the vacuum at a port going to the brake booster, reads 20".

Anyone have an idea what the culprit may be?

Thanks,

Len
