W123 wiper cover - now unobtainium @ dealer...
G'day Folks,
Bad news! W123 wiper covers - little bits of plastic that go over the bolts just under the wiper arm - are unobtainium at the dealer... Does anyone know where I can get one? I'm guessing this won't be an easy one if the dealer can't get...

I have pulled those plastic covers off a few cars and are brittle from age, and usually break getting them off. what works best for me is using a pair of plires, and gently grabbing the plastic and twist it ever so gently. they will come off in one piece, but not always.

Yep, discovered this myself some months ago - looking at the little shroud/cover which is very simple, there has to be something out there that can be substituted that looks ok and can do the job-really nothing to this little piece -if anyone finds a substitute, let us know!

Oh I forgot to say. I got a super quick response from Phil and he can't get 'em. I guess if Phil can't a new one then nobody can...
I'm scouring my sources over here for a used one. Then I'll start on plan B... (come on someone beat me to it - he says hopefully!)

They kind of look like the same ones the W116 uses, and I got new ones from The Classic Center last year.

I bought then at the M-B Classic Center in Irvine, Ca. ......
Once in a while I manage to get one off sans breakage ~ you have the lift / pry them straight up, twisting will break them as they're close fitted to the 17MM nut they cover .
